Why is online travel booking declining?

Forrester Research points out in a new report released last week, "The number of US leisure travel Bookers — online travelers who use the Internet to both research and buy travel — fell 9% from 2005 to 2007."  The report cites lack of cross-channel support as a potential cause of this decline, and urges companies to "humanize the digital experience that they offer on their Web sites" to remedy this problem.
